The University of Tennessee has unveiled official renderings of the Neyland Entertainment District, a new entertainment area between Neyland Stadium and the Tennessee River that will enhance the gameday atmosphere for home football and basketball games.

"We are absolutely thrilled to witness our vision for this groundbreaking project taking tangible shape," Tennessee Athletics Director Danny White said on Wednesday. "The development team understood our vision and designed a legacy asset that will significantly impact our campus and overall community.

"We eagerly anticipate the upcoming phases of this historic endeavor, which is set to influence our campus and the city of Knoxville deeply. The Neyland Entertainment District is poised to become a valuable asset to America's College Sports City."

The 865 Neyland Project Team will lead the project, as the Tennessee athletic department plans to bring a new and enhanced gameday experience to Rocky Top soon.

Some of the proposed additions to come with the new entertainment district include 175,000 square feet of retail and sports entertainment, featuring shops, restaurants, and social gathering areas.

The new area is expected to replace the G10 parking garage and provide additional parking to support the demand throughout the year.

A condotel will also debut right next to Neyland. This full-service hotel and condominium will feature approximately 240 rooms and 60 luxury condos, as well as a rooftop restaurant and bar, pool, conference center, lounges, fitness center, and spa.

The addition of the Neyland Entertainment District would bring a new atmosphere to gamedays on Rocky Top right outside Neyland Stadium and Food City Center, with new places to eat, shop, and watch games around the country before heading into the best venue in college football on game day.
