Soon enough, decision day is going to arrive for 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys and he's starting to trim things down a bit. Tennessee football fans have been following his recruitment for a while, as he's even been predicted by insider Tom Loy to play his college ball in Knoxville.

However, there's serious competition to land his services. The good news here, though, is that Keys has decided on six schools that will be getting an official visit from him later this year and Tennessee is on his list.

Keys is no stranger to campus, having previously taken an unofficial to meet with head manJosh Heupel. While a date hasn't been set for his official, it's going to be a massive two-day stay, with Tennessee hoping to send things over the top:

5-star WR Tristen Keys will take an official visit to Tennessee

Indeed, Keys will be taking official visits to Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M and Miami. Don't forget about the in-state programs too, as the speedster also has strong interest in Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Keys is ranked five stars, the No. 1 wide receiver in the country and No. 4 player nationally per 247Sports. The 247Sports Composite rankings have him as the No. 2 WR in the land and No. 7 player in the nation.

This kid is no question an elite prospect, having racked up 25 offers throughout his recruitment. He's had high interest in the Vols for quite some time, which has UT supporters excited about him potentially making plays for Heupel down the road.

It also helps that 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon, the No. 1 QB for the class, is already on board as a commit for the Vols' 2026 efforts. Can you imagine if he pairs up with Keys for the next 4-5 years in Knoxville?

This idea is something that plenty of people across the state are dreaming of happening. Keys is a big fan of the Vols and what the program is getting done. Who knows, maybe his upcoming official visit (date TBD) will end up sealing the deal for Heupel and his coaches.
