The Savannah Bananas and their brand of baseball, Banana Ball, have taken the world by storm in recent years. It's a fast-paced, entertainment-filled version of baseball that offers a unique twist on America's Pastime, and now it is coming to Rocky Top.
The Bananas will become the first team to host a baseball game inside the famed Neyland Stadium, according to the press release shared by Tennessee athletics. It will be part of a two-game stint the Bananas will spend in Knoxville.
"We worked hand in hand with the University of Tennessee Athletics, Covenant Health Park, and of course, the Savannah Bananas, to bring this event to Knoxville," said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. "This partnership speaks to the collaborative and fun-loving spirit of our destination, and we can't wait to share the stands with lucky Lottery List winners from near and far."
While this will be the first time a baseball game will take place in Neyland Stadium, this will not be the first time the Bananas have suited up to play a baseball game within the confines of a football field.
The Bananas played in Clemson's Tiger Stadium, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Raymond James Stadium, and the Tennessee Titans' Nissan Stadium, among others, throughout the 2025 season.
Their stop at Neyland Stadium will mark one of several trips to premier college football venues throughout the country.
In 2026, Banana Ball will also visit Florida State's Doak Campbell Stadium, New Orleans Saints' Caesars Superdome, Texas A&M's Kyle Field, Nebraska's Memorial Stadium, Oregon's Autzen Stadium, Iowa's Kinnick Stadium, Boise State's Albertson Stadium, and New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium.
While fans can't buy tickets yet, you can join the Ticket Lottery List at bananaball.com to be entered in hopes of purchasing tickets for the baseball game at Neyland Stadium. The ticket lottery closes on November 1, 2025.
