Tennessee football is back on the gridiron this week as it hosts the Kentucky Wildcats. The Vols still have a chance at making the College Football Playoff this season, while Kentucky is looking to find the win column after struggling through SEC play so far.

According to the SEC's midweek availability report, if Kentucky wants to earn its second conference win of the season, it will have to do it without possibly a dozen players.

The availability report is a new addition to conference week for SEC teams. Starting this year, SEC teams must release an updated availability report every day leading to game day starting on Wednesday of conference game week.

Kentucky has a host of Wildcats already ruled out, including former Tennessee offensive lineman Gerald Mincey. There has been a lot of talk out of Lexington about Mincey's return to Rocky Top, but it looks like he and the Cats will have to postpone any appearance for the Wildcats.

Kentucky Availability

The players listed as out for Kentucky are DB Maxwell Hairston and Jantzen Dunn, RB DeaMonte Trayanum, OLB J.J. Weaver and Steven Soles Jr., ILB D'Eryk Jackson, DL Darrion Henry-Young and Josaih Hayes, OL Gerald Mincey, and TE Jordan Dingle.

Kentucky only has one player listed as doubtful: DB Qua'sheed Scott. The other players listed as questionable are DB DJ Waller Jr. and ILB Jayvant Brown.

Players listed as probable are RB Demie Sumo-Kamgbaye, DT Deone Walker, DB Nasir Addison, and DL Tavion Gadson.

Tennessee Availability

The Vols' availability list is more concise than the Wildcats'. Tennessee only has five players on the report compared to Kentucky's 17 players.

DB Jourdan Thomas, LB Keenan Pili, and LB Edwin Spillma are Tennessee's players ruled out. Players ruled as questionable are DL Caleb Herring and OL William Satterwhite.

The Vols and Wildcats are scheduled to kick off at 7:45 PM ET on SEC Network. As Mark Stoops already complained about, it's Kentucky's fourth-straight night game and the second-straight "Dark Mode" game in Knoxville.
