This is what's on your mind after winning? Okay then. Fresh off a stunning upset over No. 11 Tennessee, Shane Beamer felt like throwing some shade at Vols fans, and it was a pretty weak move. Few people have forgotten about the 63-38 Tennessee loss in 2022, with people claiming that maybe, just maybe, Connor Stallions provided SC with some tips on the Vols' offense.
Stallions has denied things, but it's something Tennessee fans still bring up to this day. Beamer is fully aware of this, which is why he didn't hesitate in immediately bringing it up not long after his fans stormed the field following the thrilling win. Was this the right time to do this, though? Not a chance. No way he would have said this following a Gamecocks loss, too.
Shane Beamer went off on 2022 Tennessee conspiracy theories after beating the Vols:

"It's disrespectful to our players & coaches that scored 63 points against them that night.
"I don't know what conspiracy theories they will come up with this year.
"Maybe light from the State… pic.twitter.com/C85RWehamK
"All the bull crap conspiracy theories from the last four years, hopefully, we can put that crap to bed now because I don't even want to give credence to it and give oxygen to it because it's so ridiculous," a fired up Beamer said after taking down the Vols. "But it's disrespectful, all these conspiracy theories about the 2022 game. It's disrespectful to our fans who were in the stadium that night, it's disrespectful to our players and coaches who scored 63 points against them that night."
Shane Beamer is doing a lot of talking after South Carolina took down the Vols
At the end of the day, Beamer's boys got the job done, and he can talk a little smack if he wants. Bringing up the 2022 game and the theories from the fan base, though? Come on, man. If anything, however, him acting like a bit of a clown here makes the loss all the more frustrating for everyone back home.
This was a game Tennessee had no business losing. The 12 penalties are going to be discussed for a long time, especially since it resulted in three touchdowns being taken off of the board. Josh Heupel didn't hesitate in calling out his players a bit while speaking with the media, which he absolutely had every right to do.
Quarterback George MacIntyre also knows that his play wasn't good enough, with his late fumble opening the door for South Carolina to record the heart-stopping walk-off win. As for that game-winning field goal, Beamer used it as another opportunity to go after the Tennessee faithful a bit:
Think this win was personal for Shane Beamer?

Tennessee fans are going to hate this. 😂 pic.twitter.com/hEIf5HAufG
Face meets palm. If only we could wipe that grin off of Beamer's face. Unfortunately, that can't be done, as the Vols blew it late, seeing their record fall to 6-2. The Gamecocks are in full troll mode now as well, which feels like a gut punch from Mike Tyson in his prime. This is what you have to deal with when losing in this conference.
This also has to be a wakeup call for the Vols, who are now going to be on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoff. As for Beamer, he has now posted back-to-back wins over Florida and Tennessee, which cools his seat quite a bit. The next time these two teams face off, though, the Vols will have extra motivation to shut this guy up, especially with the way he's chirping right now.
