It's not often we're going to agree with Steve Sarkisian, but in this case, you bet we're gonna. In Saturday's 20-17 win for Texas over Tennessee, that heart-stopping victory had a bit of a dark cloud over it, as Colin Simmons was getting called out left and right for his crude celebration. At the same time, running back Raleek Brown also had one of his own after scoring a touchdown that was rough.
Instead of the rest of the country continuing to talk about Simmons dominating the Tennessee offensive line for five sacks of Faizon Brandon, plenty of people are still discussing his 15-yard penalty for acting like he was peeing on the field. There's ZERO room for this in the game, with Sark being quick to remind Simmons of that once again on Monday. Not only that, he made it more than clear to the rest of the locker room that behavior like this won't be tolerated moving forward.

It's one thing to post a big play and have a small party on the field with your teammates. It's another to do stuff that's pretty vulgar and act like it's not a big deal. Simmons and Brown both have to remember that the cameras are always going to be on them from start to finish during a game, especially when it's Tennessee vs. Texas.
For Simmons in particular, he's a future first-round pick, and the last thing he wants is for NFL scouts and GMs to think he's immature or that there could be some character concerns moving forward. We've got to tip our hat to him for what he was able to get done, as he owned the Vols' offensive line, including former 5-star signee David Sanders Jr.
No one is denying that, but when you do what he did below... yeah, it's no wonder that Sark was pretty dang ticked off. There's also a good reason why Kirk Herbstreit called it an 'idiotic move' from the standout pass rusher. This just can't happen, period.

You've got to be kidding, Colin! Brown's celebration was oh so stupid too. For Tennessee fans, it might have made the loss sting a bit worse, as this wasn't overly classy by the two Texas stars. The celebrations after the Hail Mary hit the turf were pretty bad too.
It's on Sark to clean that up and do so ASAP because, for now, plenty of people are going to keep rooting against the Horns for how some of the players are acting. The Tennessee faithful are no question going to remain on that list for a little while.
