Earlier this offseason, Tennessee and Josh Heupel were able to record a monster get out on the recruiting trail, with Penn State transfer Chaz Coleman committing to the Vols. New defensive coordinator Jim Knowles helped things out there in a big way.

However, things have been far from perfect for Coleman to start spring camp, with him not being at a recent practice raising a major flag. As it turns out, multiple reports have stated that Coleman isn't adjusting to life in Knoxville and that homesickness is taking its toll a bit. Yup, this doesn't seem promising at all, as the hope was that Coleman would hit the ground running with UT:

Tennessee pass-rusher Chaz Coleman reportedly isn't adjusting well to life in Knoxville
This isn't a case of Coleman bringing drama to the team or having an attitude. Quite the opposite here. Instead, it's just the fact that he's a young man who probably misses being close to home, and being so far away from friends and family is something he's not used to.
On one hand, you can be understanding of his situation. At the same time, the Vols and Danny White spent BIG to get him to suit up for the Vols. The expectation is that he'll be a total force in the trenches for Tennessee and give opposing linemen all sorts of issues this fall.
However, due to the latest reports, there's starting to be some concern that Coleman either won't be the kind of impact player everyone thought he was going to be, or maybe, just maybe, he'll decide to leave town before Week 1 even gets here.
The latter would of course be the worst-case scenario, which is something the Tennessee faithful hope gets avoided at all costs. For now, Coleman remains with Tennessee and nothing has changed there. With that said, he needs to get out of this funk and fast, as Heupel and Knowles are counting on him to be a stud in the SEC next season. This certainly will be a situation to monitor moving forward.
