The third Saturday in October is here and everyone can't wait to see what the Tennessee football team can get done in Tuscaloosa against Alabama. The Crimson Tide, the No. 6 team in the country, are two-score favorites, which means there's a tall mountain to climb for Josh Heupel and Co.

However, the Vegas oddsmakers appear to be higher on Alabama than originally thought. Throughout the week, Alabama has been favored by 8.5 points against Tennessee. Well, the FanDuel sportsbook has changed things up, with Bama now favored by 9.5 points as of this writing. What led to the last-minute change?

When it comes to odds, when the point spread changes even by a point, it's pretty eye-opening. Star Alabama running back Jam Miller was questionable earlier in the week, but he was listed as probable on Thursday. All signs are pointing to him playing in this one.

Ty Simpson has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the country and his Heisman odds were only helped on Friday night with Carson Beck having a stinker. Beck tossed four interceptions and he also has people talking after he appeared to call out a teammate for his game-ending interception.

Meanwhile for Tennessee, the offense runs through Joey Aguilar, who has been stellar for the Vols thus far this season. This is going to be the biggest road game of his career and the Tennessee faithful are confident that he'll have the Vols in a position to steal a win away from the Tide late.

That could end up happening, but the fact that Vegas has shifted the pointspread like this seems a bit alarming. The term 'Vegas always knows' is something people must be thinking about right now too. This update won't matter to the guys inside of the Tennessee locker room, as everyone is focused on the task at hand: handing Kalen DeBoer and Alabama their second loss of 2025 and sending a statement to the rest of the country.
