Tennessee has received a major upgrade for next season, starting in the fall with the 2025 football season. Current Voice of the Vols Bob Kesling announced he is retiring at the culmination of the college basketball season, creating an opening for the coveting position held by multiple legends.

The opening created conversations throughout the Volunteer State to keep a current play-by-play caller in state and bring him home to his alma mater. The man surrounding those conversations is Tennessee Titans play-by-play caller Mike Keith.

Fans were leading the momentum to bring Keith home, and he announced today on social media that the deal is done and that he will be the next Voice of the Vols.

Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White also confirmed the addition to the Vol Network on Thursday morning. White also admitted that Keith is one of the best in the industry and was at the top of the list for replacing Kesling.

Keith has become popular among Titans and Vols fans for some elite calls throughout the years. He left Knoxville to become the Titans broadcaster when the franchise moved to Tennessee in 1998 and has made some legendary calls through the years.

Since the announcement, Tennessee fans have gone to social media to relive these calls to celebrate Keith's addition to the Vol Network, and they will get any Tennessee fan excited.

Keith is well known for his calls when Titans defenders would sack opposing quarterbacks. It's one of his calling cards and Vols fans are ready for the first "sack" call of the 2025 football season.

Tennessee fans are stoked that Keith will be taking over as the Voice of the Vols starting at the beginning of the 2025 football season. Kesling will remain in his role until the conclusion of the men's college basketball season.
