Tennessee baseball hasn't been shy about showing off its power this weekend. The BaseVols are in the middle of a three-game series in the Astros Foundation College Classic in Houston, Texas.
The Vols now have won two straight games in the Classic. Tennessee won its Friday night game against No. 16 Oklahoma State 5-2 and followed it up with a dominant 13-3 win against Rice on Saturday.
Tennessee's second baseman Gavin Kilen has been lights out at the plate. He is batting .778 with 4 home runs and 4 RBIs so far in Houston. Kilen has hit four home runs in his nine at-bats during the Classic, making him the hottest hitter in the country this weekend.
Kilen is one of four Vols to hit a home run in Tennessee's first two games in the Astros' ballpark. Manny Marin, Dean Curley, and Levi Clark are also responsible for one home run a piece.
The explosive hitting performance all but ends the "small park" narrative Tennessee has been facing for years. Tennessee overcame the doubts in the College World Series last year and continues to prove haters wrong in dominant showings.
Former Virginia pitcher and host of the "Backyard Bullpen" podcast Stephen Schoch addressed the issue of Tennessee being a "small park team" after yet another dominant performance at the plate.
You guys I think Tennessee might be able to hit home runs in big parks

The Vols have now combined for 18 runs against two quality opponents in Houston. Tennessee has one of the best rosters in baseball again this year and has proven that at the plate. The Vols lead the nation in home runs and are not slowing down.
Tennessee will finish its weekend in Houston with another ranked matchup against No. 24 Arizona. First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 PM ET on Sunday and can be streamed on Astros.com.
