Tennessee baseball's road to Omaha has been revealed as the NCAA has revealed the seeding and schedule for the NCAA Tournament.
The Vols are set to host the Knoxville Regional after winning two games in the SEC Tournament. Wins over No. 9 Alabama and No. 1 Texas secured the Vols spot in the top 16, bringing the regional round back to Rocky Top.
This marks the ninth time Tennessee will host the NCAA Regional and the fourth time in the Tony Vitello era, setting up the Vols to make another run to Omaha and the men's College World Series.
Tennessee is the No. 14 seed in the NCAA Tournament and is joined by Miami (Ohio), Cincinnati, and Wake Forest in the Knoxville Regional, posing a tough region for the Vols.
Wake Forest is the second seed with a 36-20 record, Cincinnati is the third seed with a 32-24 record, and Miami (OH) is the fourth seed with a 35-21 record.
The Vols match up with No. 3 overall seed Arkansas and the Fayetteville Regional. Arkansas is joined by No. 2 seed Kansas, No. 3 seed Creighton, and No. 4 seed North Dakota State.
If Tennessee makes it out of the Knoxville Regional, they will face Arkansas or the winner of the Fayetteville Regional in the Super Regional Round for a spot in the College World Series.
This sets up a potentially challenging road for Tennessee to return to Omaha. Wake Forest, Cincinnati, and Miami (OH) could create some tough matchups for the Vols throughout Regional Week. Arkansas creates another unique challenge in a potential SEC matchup in the Super Regionals.
Tennessee will face Miami in its first game of the Knoxville Region, which will take place from May 30 to June 2. The Vols and Redhawks will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET on May 30.
