Tennessee basketball went one and one last week, losing to Kentucky and winning over Vanderbilt. As a result of Tennessee's loss to Kentucky, the Vols dropped again in the AP Poll.

The Vols dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 in the updated AP Poll, falling behind Houston. A big reason for that is the disappointing loss to Kentucky. Tennessee expected to get even with Kentucky while hosting them on Rocky Top, but the Wildcats bested the Vols for the second time this year.

ESPN's staff provided stats for each of the top 25 teams, and Tennessee's stats are centered around the Vols' locker room leader, Zakai Zeigler.

"Zakai Zeigler had his 20th game with at least 10 points and 5 assists in Saturday's win over Vanderbilt, joining New Mexico's Donovan Dent (21) as the only Division I players with 20 or more such games this season."

Zeigler has been dominant at points throughout this season. He's the biggest reason Tennessee overcame its deficit in the second half to defeat the Commodores.

The Vols are behind Auburn, Florida, Duke, and Alabama, and Houston rounds out the top five. They sit ahead of Texas A&M, Iowa State, Texas Tech, and St. John's.

Tennessee's performance throughout its conference schedule has been less than impressive, with an 8-5 record, although the conference has proven to be the deepest and toughest conference in the country.

Tennessee will face No. 7 Texas A&M in its next game, so earning a win against a top-ten team at this point in the season could be huge for Tennessee's postseason seeding in the SEC and NCAA Tournaments.
