Tennessee picked up a massive 79-73 road win on Saturday night against an experienced and talented Alabama team. The underlying story in the game was former professional basketball player Charles Bediako being eligible to play.

Tennessee tags the G-League champions saying they're next
You can't help but laugh at this from the social media admins of the Tennessee basketball account. Tagging the Delaware Blue Coats, the defending NBA G-League champions, is a great troll job. Plus, Alabama has leaned into the Villan role in this situation. Nate Oats immediately drew up a play for Charles Bediako when he entered the game on Saturday night.
Bediako received a temporary restraining order in order to be eligible from a Tuscaloosa County judge, protesting that his inelegibilty is illegal. In his first game back he made an impact against Tennessee. Bediako scored 13 points, including a few monster dunks. He also added three boards, two blocks, and two steals. Bediako's time in the pros did definetly pay off. He looks like a more complete player, especially on offense.
Rick Barnes did a great job scheming up a game plan that took away Alabama's lethal three-point shot. This only made Alabama lean into the bit even more. They kept going inside, and it felt like Philon and Bediako already had great chemistry. Bediako received a few lobs off ball screens, and he showed off how athletically gifted the big man is.
In the end, Tennessee had the last laugh, grabbing the road win and extending its winning streak against Alabama to five straight. As if that wasn’t enough, the cherry on top came afterward, with the Vols’ social media accounts having a little fun at Alabama’s expense.
