Tennessee football is looking to return to the College Football Playoff this year, despite turnover and an offensive overhaul. They could get there with the help of Jermod McCoy, Boo Carter, and Arion Carter, who each earned Preseason All-SEC Honors.

All three players have the potential to be electric playmakers for the Vols this season, with each bringing unique talents to the table for Tennessee this year.
McCoy joined Tennessee last year as a transfer from Oregon State, and he quickly made an impact in Tennessee's secondary. He was Tennessee's best defensive back and finished the year with 44 tackles, one tackle for loss, and four interceptions.
He suffered an injury in January, soon after the Vols' College Football Playoff loss to Ohio State, so his return will be delayed. The Vols expect not to have McCoy for at least the first month of the season, but his return could quickly bolster the Tennessee secondary.
Arion Carter is coming off a successful sophomore campaign, where he totaled 68 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and one interception.
The Smyrna, Tennessee, native is a physical threat in the middle of the field, which is why he has earned preseason All-SEC honors. His speed and football IQ make him a threat to be one of the best linebackers in the SEC this season.
Boo Carter is looking to take the next step in his college football journey with the opportunity to play both sides of the ball. He will continue his role in Tennessee's secondary but will also assume a spot at wide receiver, adding his dynamic play style to Tennessee's offense.
