It sure looks like some major news at wide receiver could be on the way for the Tennessee football team. On one side, fans are waiting to see if Mike Matthews will be back in Knoxville or not, but there's some hope that Josh Heupel is going to be able to convince him to stay.

Elsewhere, though, Tennessee is all of a sudden a player in the battle to land Zachariah Branch in the transfer portal? Yup, that's exactly the case, with On3's Pete Nakos reporting Tennessee is going 'all in' to try and get him on campus for an official visit.

Should the Vols get Branch on campus, it could make the difference in this team landing him. While no trip to UT has been locked in yet, Branch has tons of Vols fans talking thanks to his latest post on Twitter. Is he trying to tell us something here?

Tennessee is reportedly going all in to land USC transfer Zachariah Branch

Normally that thinking face emoji wouldn't give people in Knoxville much to think about, but that emoji has basically been the official one for Tennessee players over the past week. Remember when quarterback Nico Iamaleava posted a photo with that emoji and then deleted it? Folks are still talking about it.

A look at the replies to Branch's tweet shows that Vols fans indeed are trying to recruit him to make plays for Heupel and his offense. Coming out of high school, Branch was ranked five stars and the No. 1 receiver in the land.

He spent the past two seasons with the USC Trojans, but he's currently looking for a new place to call home. Multiple visits will be coming in January for Branch and it looks like Tennessee will potentially be getting one from him. Until he signs with his next team, UT supporters will be doing everything possible to try and help Heupel get this kid to town. He's going to be a monster get for whoever lands him.
