Neyland Stadium is arguably the best stadium in all of college football. Every Saturday, the crowd is electric, and with the iconic checkered end zones, the stadium has become one of the sport’s true landmarks. Despite that, a new brief renovation is coming to Neyland, but the good news is it's only temporary.

The Savannah Bananas are coming to Knoxville very soon, as they will play a game at Neyland Stadium on the 23rd. The Bananas are one of the fastest-rising teams in sports, often compared to the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. It will mark the first baseball game inside Neyland since the stadium opened in 1921.

The field is under construction, and it’s looking good. The only issue is that the left-field wall is a very short porch. I have to imagine it was done intentionally to keep games high-scoring and to get the crowd more involved.

Whether you like the Bananas or not, this is still really cool to see Neyland holding a baseball game. Sure, it's different, but the fans will enjoy it, and it gives the stadium even more character. One thing I think would be awesome to see is an outdoor NHL game. The Winter Classic has been played at the Big House between the Detroit Red Wings and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Not to mention, next year's Winter Classic will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium for the Utah Mammoth and the Colorado Avalanche. If the Vols wanted to, they could definitely host a Nashville Predators game, which would be awesome.

Neyland Stadium in Knoxville just hosted a huge concert with Luke Combs drawing around 90,000 fans. It really shows how versatile the stadium is, it’s not just for football, it can handle massive events of all kinds.
