To start the week, it was a typical good news, bad news day for Tennessee football and head coachJosh Heupel out on the recruiting trail. We'll go ahead and start with the bad news, which saw Tennessee lose a member of its 2026 class.

Since October, four-star interior offensive lineman Brandon Anderson had been committed to Tennessee. It was a major get for Heupel, as Anderson is ranked the No. 20 interior lineman in the country according to 247Sports.

Unfortunately, the Georgia product decided to open up his recruitment and back off his pledge. Anderson holds more than 20 offers to his name, previously being committed to Tennessee over rides from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and many others. Will the Bulldogs work to flip him? On the other side of things, Heupel and his staff received some good news on a different four-star playmaker.

Tennessee has been predicted to land 4-star in-state WR Joel Wyatt

In case you missed it, Tennessee hosted a boatload of prospects for a Junior Day over the weekend. Among the many playmakers in Knoxville was Joel Wyatt, ranked the No. 7 wideout in the country and No. 2 player from Tennessee for the 2026 class.

On Monday, On3 recruiting guru Steve Wiltfong put in his official prediction for Wyatt to eventually commit to the Vols. Should that happen, it would obviously be incredible news for the offense, as Wyatt is an elite talent.

In addition to Tennessee, the 6-4, 192-pounder has been offered by Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Miami and many others. With 5-star QB Faizon Brandon, the No. 1 player in the country for '26, already being on board, Heupel will look to add some speedsters for the class to join him. Wideouts Tyreek King and Tyran Evans are already on board, but could Wyatt look to add his name to the list soon? Vols fans sure hope so.
