Four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson has been on Tennessee's radar for a while, and the Alabama commit will now visit campus as the Vols try to flip him from the Tide.

On3 Sports shared on social media that the best cornerback in Alabama is visiting Tennessee this weekend to meet with the Tennessee coaching staff, and Josh Heupel is looking to add another blue-chip athlete to its secondary.

While he ranks as the top corner in Alabama, he is also the No. 4 player in the state, the No. 3 corner in the country, and the No. 46 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

The Gadsden, Alabama, native is committed to Alabama, but according to his 247 Sports profile, he has no interest in other schools except Tennessee.

247 Sports has given him a "cool" interest in Tennessee,, which could become a "warm" interest by the end of the weekend if everything goes well and the Vols' coaching staff can sway him away from Alabama. Tennessee now joins Ole Miss as two SEC teams looking to steal him from Alabama.

"[Gibson is a] dynamic two-way athlete that possesses no shortage of physical traits to develop into a high-level cover corner on Saturdays. Hovering around a shade under 6-foot-1, Gibson exhibits the prototypical length, speed, and athleticism that is so highly coveted at one of the game's most premium positions," National Recruiting Analyst Cooper Petagna writes

"[He's] a natural mover that's primarily positioned in bump-and-run coverage at the field and boundary corner spots; the Alabama native displays dynamic play speed and change of direction ability, showing the ability to flip his hips and mirror opposing pass catchers with relative ease in man coverage.

"Although the physical traits are readily apparent, Gibson will need to continue to develop his coverage instincts in the passing game in addition to playing with more force and physicality in the open field at the next level. The Top247 standout projects as a high-level Power Four starter at the collegiate level with the ability to develop into a potential early Day-2 NFL Draft choice considering his blend of size, speed, and athleticism."

Tennessee currently has eight commits in the 2026 recruiting class, and it looks like Heupel and the Vols are looking to add more blue-chip athletes on both sides of the ball as the Vols continue to work hard on the recruiting trail.
