On the ground, it was a day to remember for Duke transfer Star Thomas, DeSean Bishop and Peyton Lewis. In total, Tennessee rushed for 248 yards, which was much more than anyone anticipated would be on the way. The offense was clicking in every way possible.
Defensively, There were some struggles showcased that DC Tim Banks is going to want to clean up as soon as possible, especially with Georgia on the schedule next for Sept. 13. Luckily for Tennessee, Banks and Josh Heupel, East Tennessee State is not expected to give the Vols too many problems at Neyland.
Barring a catastrophic letdown, the Vols should improve to 2-0 and be a Top 15-20 team leading up to the highly-anticipated meeting against Kirby Smart and Co. Look for Tennessee to post a dominant win - we're picking the Vols to come out on top 48-7.
