Leading up to Tennessee football taking on Alabama this weekend, some good news has already arrived for head man Josh Heupel and his coaching staff. Yes, the focus is on 2026 for recruiting, but the Vols have landed their second commit for the 2027 class.
On Wednesday night, Florida cornerback Kamauri Whitfield decided that he doesn't need more time to make his college decision, as he committed to Heupel and Tennessee. Throughout his recruitment, he picked up a total of 26 offers.

Chicago PG Marquis Clark has committed to Rick Barnes and Tennessee basketball
Meanwhile on the hardwood, some great news also came in for Rick Barnes and the Vols. Out of Whitney Young High in Chicago, point guard Marquis Clark also shut down his recruitment on Wednesday and he announced in favor of the Vols.
According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-1, 175-pounder is ranked three stars, the No. 4 prospect out of Illinois, No. 38 point guard in the country and No. 252 prospect nationally. He held additional offers from Cal, Illinois, Northern Illinois and others.
Alabama TE Josh Cuevas taking things 'personal' against Tennessee this weekend
Back to the gridiron, it looks like last season's Tennessee win over Alabama at Neyland Stadium is something that's being discussed inside of the Crimson Tide locker room. Apparently, senior tight end Josh Cuevas is taking things personal and he wants some revenge on the Vols.
Tennessee posted the heartstopping win over Bama at Neyland last fall and it was a win that changed everything for the 2024 campaign. Now, the Vols are hoping that history will repeat itself this weekend, but Cuevas and Co. are going to do everything they can to prevent that from happening. This should be a game to remember and people can't wait for kickoff to arrive.
