Vols aren't done hearing about the Iamaleava drama, even in a virtual reality

It seems like this drama just won't leave the Volunteers alone.

Even though Tennessee was in the College Football Playoff last season and had a pretty good time in the transfer portal and some big wins on he recruiting trail, there has really been only one thing that has been talked about when it comes to the Volunteers.

Nico Iamaleava.

Iamaleava was the biggest news out of Knoxville this offseason as the third-year quarterback made headlines for the amount of NIL money he was asking from Tennessee and then jumping into the transfer portal when they refused to give it to him. The amount of money Iamaleava was asking for was outrageous, especially with his production last season, so when he entered the transfer portal, fans weren't that sad to see him go.

Well, it appears that even though that drama took place months ago, the Volunteers just can't get away from it. EA Sports is just days away from releasing its College Football 26 video game, and an inside look at the game showed that Tennessee is still dealing with the quarterback drama.

In the sneak peek, the announcers are talking about Tennessee's 2024 season and the success they had with making the College Football Playoff, but of course, the bigger topic of conversation was about Iamaleava going into the transfer portal and leaving Tennessee.

Tennessee is probably ready to move on from the Nico Iamaleava drama

Tennessee lived through the Iamaleava drama, so they probably don't want it continually brought up to live through again. At this point, Tennessee has moved on from Iamaleava; they have a new quarterback and are ready to have another winning college football season.

The Iamaleava drama is in the past, and Tennessee is ready to leave it there, but clearly, they won't get that wish when even a video game keeps digging it up. Iamaleava made his choice to leave and transfer to UCLA. Good luck and good riddance, it is time to move on.
