Tennessee football is preparing for its fifth season under Josh Heupel as he looks to bring the Vols back to national glory.
Heupel holds a 37-15 record at Tennessee, including two double-digit-win seasons and one College Football Playoff appearance in 2024.
Despite the success last year and the CFP appearance, Tennessee had a drama-filled offseason, resulting in the loss of former five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava.
That will likely be one of the many focuses of Heupel's time at the podium when reporters have the opportunity to ask him questions.
Heupel is scheduled to take the podium on Tuesday, July 15, following Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian will also take the podium on Tuesday.
Tennessee will bring some veteran players to join Heupel to answer some questions. Junior linebacker Arion Carter, Senior tight end Miles Kitselman, and Senior defensive tackle Bryson Eason will make the trip to Atlanta for media days this year. You can find the full weekly schedule here.
There are a lot of questions about Tennessee's offense, specifically at the quarterback position, but don't expect Heupel to go out of his way to answer those questions at SEC Media Days this week.
Heupel will likely keep his cards close to his chest until a clear favorite emerges during Fall camp, although the current expectation is that UCLA transfer Joey Aguilar will be Tennessee's starting quarterback, but that could change if Jake Merklinger or George MacIntyre shows out in practice.
SEC Media Days is scheduled to take place from July 14 to 17 in Atlanta, Georgia, this year, with coaches and players from every SEC program speaking to the media. Each day is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM ET.
