Justin Hunter’s Momentum Continues To Grow

There’s a growing sense of optimism that former Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Justin Hunter is going to have a breakout year for the Tennessee Titans.

Earlier this week, Hunter said his goal for this season is to catch 60 passes.

If that happens, then Hunter, and by extension the Titans, should have a great year.

Hunter, however, still has a lot of work to do on the field before he gets to that point.

There’s never been any doubt that Hunter has the talent to a be a star, but his toughness has been questioned since his time at Tennessee.

I’m not sure how much progress he’s made in the toughness department, but he’s continuing to impress with his “highlight reel” catches in training camp.

Here’s what Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean recently observed.

"Wide receiver Justin Hunter continues to make highlight-reel catches. He made a few more on Thursday, first going up to take the ball away from cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson. Later, Hunter caught the ball between a pair of defenders in a red zone drill."

Hunter has a ton of momentum heading into the 2014 season. Hopefully for the Titans (and all the fantasy football enthusiasts out there that have fallen in love with Hunter) he can keep it going once it counts.
