We are already a quarter of the way through the 2014 college football season.

If that’s not a depressing thought for sports fans, I don’t know what is.

This season is shaping up to be a cluster, at least in the SEC East.

Before the season started, everyone had South Carolina pegged as the SEC East champions.

A week into the season, the crown was handed to Georgia — before they had even played a conference game.

After South Carolina beat Georgia in week three, it’s now anyone’s guess as to who will win emerge from the East.

Of course it’s not any clearer in the West.

Alabama is the favorite until they’re not the favorite (even though they didn’t win the division last season).

But Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU and even Ole Miss will be right there to challenge the Crimson Tide all season.

Basically, it’s going to be a fun year if you’re a fan of football in the south!

So — without further ado — let’s get to our week three power rankings. These rankings, as always, are based on what these teams have done so far this season. We’ve tried to remove from the equation any preconceived notions or pre-season expectations about a team.
