The Recruits Can’t Get Here Fast Enough

Something that’s been readily apparent in Tennessee’s losses this season has been the discrepancy in speed between them and their opponents.

It’s going to be hard for Tennessee to consistently compete until they get elite SEC talent.

The good news is that help is on the way, in the form of potential top five recruiting class.

Tennessee’s getting destroyed on the edge this season because they lack the speed from the linebackers to contain the edge.

Guys like Chris Weatherd and Dillon Bates will likely be pushed into immediately important roles when they arrive next season to remedy that problem.

The Vols have a ton of talent coming in that will help them out.

Butch Jones will just have to make do with what he inherited until then. Hopefully fans can understand that this undertaking is a monumental challenge for the former Big East coach of the year.
