According to Sports Animal host Jimmy Hyams, Bowling Green has not yet had any contact with Vols offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian.

On Tuesday it was reported by Coachingsearch.com that Bajakian was on Bowling Green’s list of possible replacements for the recently departed Dave Clawson, who took the head coaching job at Wake Forest.

Bajakian has served as Butch Jones’ offensive coordinator since Jones took the head coaching job at Central Michigan in 2007. Bajakian then made the jump with Jones to Cincinnati and eventually to Tennessee.

Prior to 2007, Bajakian served as an offensive quality control assistant with the Bears, as well as their wide receivers coach.

As I said on Tuesday, I doubt Bajakian leaves Tennessee after only one season, but if he has a great deal of success the day will come that Bajakian moves on to a head coaching job.

If you missed it on Tuesday, here’s our short list of candidates to replace Bajakian, should he choose to leave.
