Vols Football 2015 Offers: Defensive Ends
6. Kengera Daniel
North Carolina had been a state full of recruiting misfortune for the Vols for years, but the last few recruiting cycles have started to see a reversal of fortunes in Tennessee’s border state to the east. If Kengera Daniel were to commit to the Vols, he would further the good luck the Vols are now having in North Carolnia.
Daniel is a 3-star strong-side defensive end prospect out of Raleigh, North Carolina. He’s rated the No. 19 player in the state, and he possesses great size at 6-6, 250 lbs.
As a junior, Daniel registered 89 tackles, 13 sacks, and an interception. His size combined with his athleticism made him a force in high school, and teams have come flocking. He holds offers from 14 different schools, including Alabama, Michigan, Miami, and Virginia, among others.
The Vols jumped in on his recruitment a little late, but they’ve quickly made up some ground. They offered him on April 28th, and he just recently visited the campus on June 7th and came away impressed by what he saw.
While he is a favorite to land at Florida State if the Seminoles offer him, his recruitment is very much up in the air right now. Daniel would be a good acquisition for the Vols if they were able to land his commitment.
