Ja’Wuan James Named To All-Rookie Team
By Zach Ragan
The Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) released their annual NFL All-Rookie Team on Tuesday and former Tennessee Volunteers offensive lineman Ja’Wuan James was among the names on the list.
James was selected with the 19th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. He won the starting right tackle job out of training camp, but moved to left tackle after Brandon Albert suffered a season-ending injury. James started all 16 games for the Dolphins.
Starting every game is nothing new for James. The former Vol started all 49 games in which he appeared during his four seasons at Tennessee.
James’ former teammate at Tennessee, Dallas Thomas (a third round pick of the Dolphins in 2013), also started on Miami’s offensive line this season.
All five offensive linemen from the Vols’ 2012 squad were on an NFL roster this past season.
