"As the letters of intent rolled in Wednesday, two from Tennessee commitments did not arrive.Neither Hillsboro’s Vincent Perry nor South-Doyle’s Jocquez Bruce signed with the Vols. Both committed last summer, but they will “blueshirt,” according to their high school coaches.At his signing day press conference, coach Butch Jones spoke in general terms about blueshirting, which allows players to count toward next season’s scholarship totals but still be eligible to play this season. As a blueshirt, a player is not allowed to have been recruited, meaning there cannot be an official campus visit or arranged off-campus, in-person contact.Read more at The Tennessean"
