Oklahoma Commit Offered By Vols

Jean Delance, a 2016 offensive tackle that’s committed to the Oklahoma Sooners, received a scholarship offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday.

Delance is a 6’5″/270 lb four-star offensive lineman from Mesquite, TX (North Mesquite). 247Sports rates him as the 20th best player in the state of Texas and the 14th best offensive tackle in the nation.

In addition to Delance’s offers from Oklahoma and Tennessee, he also has notable offers from Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, South Carolina and TCU, among several others.

Delance would be a tremendous pickup for the Vols, if they were somehow able to flip him from the Sooners. Though it will obviously be tough to sway Delance from his commitment to Oklahoma (Delance committed to the Sooners on 11/25/14).

Tennessee’s offensive line depth is improving, but they still have a long way to go to get the talent level at the position to where it needs to be.
