Thorpe is a 6ā5ā³/308 lb recruit fromĀ Pittsburgh, PA (Central Catholic). He hasnāt been rated yet by Rivals or 247Sports.
The Pennsylvania native also has offers from Duquesne, Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.
Tennessee would certainly love to get a commitment from Thorpe, who already has the size to play in the SEC.
But Iām not sure how likely it is that UT can land the big man.
Thorpe is a Penn State legacy and we all know, first hand, how strong those family ties to a school can be.
The Vols could definitely make a run at Thorpe, but I would say Tennesseeās chances to snag him are low.
