Vol Commit Devante Brooks Offered By Michigan
By Zach Ragan
Last month, 2016 four-star Vol commit Devante Brooks added an offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
On Tuesday, Brooks picked up another big time offer — this time from the Michigan Wolverines.
Brooks, a 6’5″/230 lb tight end/defensive end from Washington, DC (St. John’s College), committed to Tennessee on January 15.
247Sports rates Brooks as the ninth best 2016 tight end in the nation and the 243rd overall 2016 player.

Tennessee needs to do whatever it takes to keep Brooks in their 2016 recruiting class. This kid has the chance to be a stud tight end at the next level, something the Vols desperately need.
Butch Jones and his staff have a track record of success of keeping players committed that have been deemed priorities. It’ll be interesting to see if they can do the same with Brooks.
I think the Vols will be able to hold on to the D.C. native, but don’t be surprised if he takes a few visits to some of the schools that have offered him as of late.
