Ovince Saint Preux Continues The Momentum

Former Tennessee Volunteer Ovince Saint Preux knocked out opponent Patrick Cummins in the first round on Saturday night.

The win improves Saint Preux to 18-6-0, and the knock out did not come in convincing fashion. He seemed out matched early on, as the former Penn State wrestler took Preux down to the mat multiple times.

Preux was obviously very fatigued around the two minute mark, and it seemed that Cummins had him right where he wanted him. However, the former Vol found the energy he was missing towards the end of the round.

With 12 seconds remaining in the first round, Saint Preux landed a ferocious left uppercut to the head of Cummins. He went down, and the rest was history as the VFL finished him off with an array of punches.

Saint Preux undoubtedly made Vol nation proud as he had people all over Twitter talking.

Don’t expect him to be overlooked anymore after demonstrating that a fatigued Saint Preux can still take you down in the first round.

Saint Preux’s confidence is clearly building; at the end of the fight he announced, “Ovince Saint Preux versus anybody.”

The former Vol may have just punched his ticket for the main card in Nashville on August 8th.
