OK, so maybe Tennessee isn’t trying to rid the entire city of Knoxville of Adidas apparel, but they are trying to get rid of all Adidas stuff in the Vols’ official team store.

As you probably know, much to the delight of Vol fans, Tennessee will be making the switch to Nike in July, making all Vol Adidas apparel out of date.
I’m sure the Vols will have a big uniform roll-out some point this summer. The last time the Vols’ uniforms underwent a significant redesign was in 2013, just before Butch Jones’ first season as Tennessee’s head coach.
While it’ll be great to see the Vols rocking some Nike uniforms, don’t forget that Butch Jones is staunch in his belief that uniforms don’t win games.
And he’s probably right, considering the Volunteers went 0-2 in their smokey gray Adidas uniforms.
Maybe it’s best to leave those in the past with Adidas.
