Former Tennessee Volunteers defensive lineman Jordan Williams signed a free agent deal with the New York Jets on Saturday, after going undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Williams will join former Vol quarterback Matt Simms in New York.

In four years at Tennessee, Williams started 21 career games.

The Florida native accumulated 6.5 sacks, 66 total tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss during his career in Knoxville.

Williams, who was a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll during his collegiate career, will likely play defensive end or outside linebacker with the Jets. He played defensive tackle at Tennessee during his senior season.
