Wide receiver Justin Hunter has to have a good off-season if he wants to be in the Tennessee Titans’ longterm plans.
The former Vol hasn’t performed very well during his first two NFL seasons, even regressing a bit this past season.
Hunter is now entering his third season and the Titans aren’t going wait around on the physically gifted wideout much longer.
The Titans drafted troubled, but talented, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham in the 2015 draft. They also brought in veteran wide receiver Hakeem Nicks.
In other words, there is plenty of reason for Hunter to be worried.
Perhaps the competition will bring out the best in Hunter?
According to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, Hunter had a good first day of OTA’s.
One matter-of-fact observation from Tuesday's OTA: WR Justin Hunter had a good day #Titans

It’s just one day and it’s only May, but Hunter has to have a solid/consistent off-season in order to be in the Titans’ 2015 plans.
Hunter is one the most physically gifted wide receivers in the league, but if he can’t play with the physicality and consistency that’s demanded of NFL players, he’ll be just another afterthought.
