Austin Pope Commits To Tennessee

Less than two weeks after being offered by the Vols, Austin Pope has committed to Tennessee.

Pope, who visited UT on June 11 for a camp, is a three-star tight end from Knoxville, TN (Christian Academy of Knoxville). 247Sports rates him as the 19th best 2016 player in the state of Tennessee and the 31st best 2016 tight end in the nation.

Pope chose to commit to the Vols over offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and several others.

But let’s face it — there’s no way Pope was committing anywhere but Tennessee.

Butch Jones continues to prove he owns the state of Tennessee.
