Tennessee Vols athletics will be switching to Nike July 1 after 20 years with Adidas. For the week leading up to the switch, we will recap the Adidas era.

More from Peyton Manning

Of the program’s 23 national championships all time, 10 came during that time period. That is nearly have in a more than 100-year history of Tennessee athletics.

As a result, it is hard to drive through Knoxville and see stores selling Tennessee Adidas apparel for 50 percent off.

The program switched over at the perfect time in 1995. That was the exact year that Tennessee football would return to glory full-time and go on one of the best runs in the schools history (before its worst run ever).

The Lady Vols in basketball were about to begin a stretch of unprecedented dominance in the sport at the time.

And the men’s basketball program, despite constant turmoil, made history multiple times, from the most wins in a year to the deepest tournament run to its highest ranking ever as a program.

Other sports, such as college baseball, softball, and track and field, all reached unprecedented heights as well.

So with a week left in the for Tennessee to be sponsored by Adidas, we are going to recap everything Tennessee athletics related in the Adidas era.

Here are the 30 greatest moments in Tennessee athletics during that time period.
