Vols Football: Von Pearson Does Well In Return To Practice

Wide receiver Von Pearson returned to Vols football practice on Saturday, after being cleared in a sexual assault case from this past April.

The senior, who went through most of spring practice, apparently didn’t have much rust, as head coach Butch Jones said Pearson was in good shape and had good “football endurance”.

Jones added that Pearson’s “recall and retention from the spring was very good.”

It’s absolutely huge for the Volunteers to get Pearson back in advance of the 2015 season.

Pearson gives Tennessee a player that is consistent across the middle and can be dangerous in the open field.

Tennessee has a lot of talented wide receivers on their roster, but they’ve struggled to find consistency.

Pearson, in his one season as Vol, proved for be one of the team’s most consistent performers last season. Having him back is imperative for the Vols if they want to find the success that’s been predicted for them in 2015.

Things are coming together quite nicely for the Volunteers to have a huge season.

And with what Vol fans have been through the past seven years, it’s beyond deserved.
