Pig Howard Should Be On Depth Chart At Quarterback

OK, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but Vols wide receiver Pig Howard could certainly line up under center if Tennessee gets in a major pinch.

Howard, who has attempted one pass during his three seasons on Rocky Top (it fell incomplete), showed off his arm after practice on Tuesday.

The Vols are pretty set at quarterback, with Quinten Dormady and Sheriron Jones backing up starter Josh Dobbs.

And if something were to inexplicably happen to all three of those guys, then converted wide receiver Jauan Jennings would be next in line to line up under center.

Perhaps Butch Jones and new offensive coordinator Mike DeBord have some tricks up their sleeve with Howard.

Remember this play from Tennessee’s Tax Slayer bowl win against Iowa?
