Tennessee Vols Rivals have included many teams over the years, but they could always add some more. Here are 10 teams who would make great rivalries.

At any point in the history of the Tennessee Volunteers, the names Auburn, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida would boil the blood of fans in Knoxville.

But amidst all of those rivalries, the Vols unfortunately have no natural rival: a rival that is regional, where both teams have equal or similar traditions, and they hate each other the most.

With Alabama, there is still Auburn that is their arch-rival. Florida has Florida State, and there is no regional rival with Tennessee-Florida.

So who could be a natural rival for the Vols? Honestly, there are actually plenty of candidates. Regional rivals, hatred rivals, and rivals based solely on magnitude could all be in play with this.

With conference realignment chances, some potential rivals for the Vols could actually become the incredible arch-rival they have been looking for.

In other cases, they could just develop into a natural rival. Tennessee is uniquely positioned to be rivals with so many teams due to its proximity to the South and the East Coast.

That leaves open a ton of teams who could be rivals with this program, and many of the rivalries could become extremely exciting.

Because of the fact that the SEC needs to be realigned to begin with, we will leave out teams in this blog who are in the conference.

But from the Atlantic Coast to the Mississippi River and even west of that, let’s examine non-conference teams that have the potential to be rivalries with Tennessee.
