Week 10 Top 25 Rankings: Tennessee Vols Receive Votes in AP Poll

The Week 10 Top 25 rankings finally provided some recognition again for the Tennessee Volunteers football team in one poll as they try to finish strong.

They may be only 4-4, but the Vols are slowly working to get back the respect they had at the beginning of this football season.

A 52-21 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats was as impressive as Mississippi State’s victory over them the week before and more impressive than Florida’s victory over them early in the season.

Considering that those are two Top 25 teams and three of Tennessee’s losses are to Top 15 teams, all of whom they had a lead against in the fourth quarter, it is not crazy to say that they deserved a bit of recognition in the rankings.

Both polls this week had six SEC teams in the Top 25, four Big 12 teams, four Big Ten teams, three Pac-12 teams, three ACC teams plus Notre Dame, three AAC teams, and one MAC team.

Although the rankings were different, the AP and USA Today Polls had the same teams in the Top 25.
