In addition to carrying on his father’s tradition, Nigel Warrior fills a major need for the Vols going forward. Butch Jones and his football team just lost both starters at safety from last year, Brian Randolph and LaDarrell McNeil.
Although Todd Kelly Jr. and Evan Berry should fill in nicely, the depth ran thin, so picking up Warrior was an extremely big deal. His commitment helps to set up the Vols at safety for years even after Kelly and Berry leave.

Warrior is one of five defensive backs who have signed with the Vols, as he joined Tyler Byrd, who flipped his commitment from the Miami Hurricanes the night before Signing Day. He is a huge pickup for Tennessee football.
