Tennessee football recruiting continued Tuesday. The Volunteers offered four players, one for 2019, one for 2020, and one for 2021.

Jeremy Pruitt is wasting no time looking towards the future for Tennessee football. On Tuesday, he and the Vols continued handing out scholarship offers, and it didn’t matter if a prospect was committed to another school or was a long-term player.

The Vols offered two 2019 prospects, one of whom is committed elsewhere, along with a 2020 prospect and a 2021 prospect. So they were very active recruiting on Tuesday.

Their first offer for 2019 was to cornerback Cameron Smith. Smith is not yet rated on Rivals and hails from Westwood High School in Blythewood, S.C. He announced the offer from the Vols on his Twitter account.

Smith is fielding offers from numerous schools, but Tennessee football is one of only a few notable Power Five schools to offer him, the others being the West Virginia Mountaineers and Purdue Boilermakers. In high school, he’s been playing wide receiver and cornerback, so he has lots of versatility. Here’s a look at his highlight reel.

As you can see, he is great at leaping for the ball and has amazing hands, winning almost every jump ball. So he should be a great playmaker for anybody he joins if he stays at cornerback.

In addition to Smith, the Vols offered three-star athlete Kendrell Flowers. A running back and wide receiver in high school, Flowers has already given a verbal commitment to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He’s another South Carolina prospects, hailing from Irmo. Flowers announced the Vols offer on Twitter as well.

While being a versatile offensive weapon, Flowers also can perform on special teams. Simply put, he does it all. Take a look at his highlight reel here.

With incredible quickness, breakaway speed and great cuts, Flowers could find many roles in Tennessee football’s offense. However, despite his bad history on Rocky Top, Dave Clawson is a coach who knows how to maximize such talent in open space. So it would be hard to get Flowers to flip.

Looking more towards the future, the Vols offered an edge rusher from Maryland for 2020 as well. Coziah Izzard, who is not yet rated on Rivals, hails from St. Vincent Pallotti in Laurel, Md., just outside of Washington, D.C. He also announced Tennessee’s offer on Twitter.

Although Rivals has no rating for him and lists him as an outside linebacker, 247Sports gives him a four-star rating and lists him as a defensive end. That implies he’d be a standard 3-4 edge rusher in Jeremy Pruitt’s system. Here is a look at his highlight reel.

At 6’4″ 220 pounds, Izzard has been lining up on the defensive line, more as an end or even tackle, in high school. But he’s got great speed and showed he can run down quarterbacks and blow up even misdirection plays. This is probably why he’s already fielding offers from elite schools like the Georgia Bulldogs and Michigan State Spartans.

Finally, Tennessee football looked ahead to 2021 with one of its Tuesday offers as well. The Vols reached out to Dontavius Nash, who also announced the offer on Twitter.

Nash is a 6’2″ 170-pound athlete from Hunter Huss High School in Gastonia, N.C., which is on the southern portion of the state and part of the Charlotte metropolitan area. He has no rating yet but is fielding offers from the North Carolina Tar Heels and Maryland Terrapins along with the Vols.
