Running Back – Madre London

This is where things get interesting. Honestly, you could make the case that any of the top three players could end up being the biggest difference maker. Coming in at our third position is running back from Michigan State, Madre London.

  • While at Michigan State, London was a decent player but his numbers don’t jump off the page. In fact, his freshman season was his most productive with 119 attempts for 500 yards with three touchdowns.

After a slow sophomore season with only 28 carries, London was a little more productive with 304 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

London will be given every opportunity to thrive under Ty Helton’s offense. The new focus is a power style which is a complete opposite of the spread offense Jones like to run.

Fellow writer Caleb Calhoun thinks Madre London will start for the Vols next season. I’m not all on board with giving up the starting lineup just yet, but I think he will play significant playing time.

London and Ty Chandler could actually be a decent one-two combo if the offensive line holds up. There is a good chance that the Vols offense could be a strong suit for the team next season.
