Tennessee basketball: 5 teams the Vols should play a home and home against
1. Duke Blue Devils
Finally to the number one ranked team on our list. Which should come as no surprise to anyone reading. With already playing Kansas, North Carolina, and Memphis, Duke is the obvious choice for the Vols to play a home and home series against.
Although Cameron Indoor Stadium only seats 9,314 fans, it is one of the loudest and hardest places for opposing teams to play. The atmosphere is one of the best thanks to the “Cameron Crazies” which would be a tough test for the Vols.
There is a huge home court advantage with an all-time record 832-154. And, the current coach Mike Krzyzewski is an unprecedented 474-59 at home.
Not only would traveling to play at Cameron Indoor Stadium be a cool experience for the Tennessee basketball program. But, having Duke travel to Thompson-Boling Arena would be great from Knoxville and the Tennessee fans.
If the Vols could get Duke on the schedule the next couple of seasons, it could be a top ten matchup and one of the best of the college basketball season.
