No. 1 – October 20th vs. Alabama

Yeah, that’s right. The game on October 20th against Alabama is the most exciting game of the 2018 football season. Not only is it Alabama and not only is it the “Third Saturday in October” but it’s Jeremy Pruitt’s old team.

He has a chance to beat Nick Saban, the legend that he is. This stat isn’t always fair, but no former assistant coach has beaten Saban head to head. Last season during the National Championship Game Kirby Smart was close, but close doesn’t cut it.

There is no question that Alabama is clearly the better team I mean it was been twelve seasons since Tennessee has beaten the Crimson Tide.

There were no iPhones in the world. The first generation was close to being out for the public but not quite. And, Barry Bonds was still playing baseball for the Giants.

I’m not suggesting the Vols will beat Alabama, but if Pruitt could somehow pull out a victory, it would be the best win for a first-year head coach in program history.

Although it is Tennessee football and every game is worthy enough for every fan to get excited about, the Alabama game tops the list on our ranking.
