Less heralded top Tennessee football 2019 DT prospects

Kristian Williams; 3-star; 6’3″ 280 lbs; Memphis, Tenn.; Southwind High School

Keeping the Memphis pipeline open, Kristian Williams is a Top 12 player in the state, so he’s a very good player for Tennessee football. And he’d be a great pickup. There are no leaders for him yet, but the Vols will likely be in play when he trims down his list.

Elijah Simmons; 3-star; 6’2″ 350 lbs; Nashville, Tenn; Pearl Cohn High School

We go from Memphis to Nashville. Elijah Simmons is not Kristian Williams, but he’s still a Top 20 player in the state of Tennessee. The Vols are in the fight for him with the Missouri Tigers and Memphis Tigers. It’ll come down to one of those three schools. And the coaches would love to add depth with both in-state guys on this list.

Jamal Camp; 3-star; 6’1″ 264 lbs; Cummings, Ga.; South Forsyth High School

Tennessee football is the only school right now that is getting serious consideration from Jamal Camp according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball. And he’s another guy who could offer versatility. So the Vols and Jeremy Pruitt should be in good shape with him.

Patrick Lucas; 3-star; 6’3″ 286 lbs; Wetumpka, Ala.; Wetumpka High School

The Vols are in the hunt with four other schools to get Patrick Lucas, including other Tennessee schools in the Vanderbilt Commodores and Memphis Tigers. Add in the Ole Miss Rebels, Mississippi State Bulldogs and Indiana Hoosiers, and Tennessee may just be too deep for him.
