Evaluating the 2019 Tennessee football recruiting class at dead period: Vols DL
Less heralded top Tennessee football 2019 DE prospects
DEFENSIVE END
Joseph Honeysucker; 3-star; 6’3″ 218 lbs; Nashville, Tenn.; Hillsboro High School
Tennessee football’s defensive end crop is not as elite as their defensive tackle crop this year. But they still have some talent, and Joseph Honeysucker is a great in-state prospect for them. A weakside defensive end, Honeysucker has no leaders yet. But the Vols are among the most elite schools offering him, so they should get a serious look. Being in Nashville should obviously help that too.
Terrell Dawkins; 3-star; 6’4″ 240 lbs; Concord, N.C.; Cox Mill High School
A strongside defensive end, Tennessee football is in the hunt with the Ohio State Buckeyes as the two major favorites to land Terrell Dawkins, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball. The Vols could be happy with him, as he has room to grow as well. There’s not a lot of national attention directed towards him, but he’s still a solid prospect for the class.

Ahmad Craig; 3-star; 6’6″ 235 lbs; Buford, Ga.; Buford High School
Staying on the strongside, there are no current leaders for Ahmad Craig. But Jeremy Pruitt and co. will definitely be in the running given his connection to the state of Georgia. As a result, watch out for the Vols and what they do here. This is one more prospect they could go after.
Brandon Dorlus; 3-star; 6’4″ 250 lbs; Deerfield Beach, Fla.; Deerfield Beach High School
Another player with no leaders, Brandon Dorlus could help Tennessee’s pipeline into Florida. It’s clear that Pruitt wants to establish such a thing. And Dorlus, another strongside end, could provide immediate value.
