No.3 – Jarrett Guarantano throws more touchdowns than Jarrett Stidham

This bold prediction will get most fans going. We write one thing negative on this page and Volnation goes nuts. However, Jarrett Guarantano gets more hate than anyone on the team from the same people.

  • Yes, I know his numbers aren’t great, but the kid doesn’t have much of an offensive line in front of him. I’m not just throwing blame only at the o-line, Guarantano could improve, and I think that starts against a good Auburn defense down on the plains.

Both Jarrett’s have comparable numbers when it comes to passing the ball.

Stidham (6 games): 101-for-168 with 1177 passing yards. He is completing 60.1% of his passes on 7.01 per attempt with a 5:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Guarantano (5 games): 59-for-93 with 801 passing yards. He is completing 63.4% of his passes on 8.61 per attempt with a 4:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Based on our earlier prediction, it should be a low scoring game, so throwing a single touchdown could be good enough. However, I believe Guarantano will throw at least two touchdown passes and Stidham’s one.
